I talked to the owner of a brand new Alliance station today. He's going to be closing it down for two months starting tomorrow for renovations (removing old Shell pumps and installing new ones), and I may have convinced him to install a seperate 101 octane pump at the same time just like the one they have in Canoga Park. This is in Simi Valley sort of on the East end on Cochran and Stearns. I told him that I have a bunch of friends in this area that would be regular customers (which I don't), to help convince him to do it.... which may have worked. Anyhow, it's going to be super convenient for me as well as anyone living in this city, or maybe Moorpark/Thousand Oaks and the West part of the valley. If you think you might want to start filling up, there's a good chance you can do it at this station two months from now. I'll be a regular customer, and it'd be good if some other people would fill up here too if it's close enough to them and they have a use for it. It's probably going to be $3.99 a gallon like the other one (which is actually a good deal in comparison to some others). I usually either just run straight 101 or mix 50/50 with 91 to give me 96 octane.
I'd like to keep my word, and help keep the pump open in case he would shut it down for not enough business. Anyone interested let me know...
